What Can You Do When You Feel Total Overwhelm?
Tuesday, January 20, 2015Life is so busy for so many of us. Modern life is full of time schedules and dead lines, so many that we probably aren't even aware of them most of the time.
I can remember when my girls were younger, probably one of the most stressful time schedules I had was dropping off the youngest at nursery school, with very limited parking, then dropping off the elder one at school, again with vey little near by parking and then driving super fast to get to work on time! And all this happened after the daily struggle with dressing children who didn't want to wear their uniform, trying to get them to eat breakfast, into car seats and all strapped in, the parking issue and running to the different schools with kids and bags in tow!
Well by the time I did get to work, I often felt like I needed a well deserved rest, not an in-tray full of work! Sound familiar? and we wonder why we feel stressed, on overload and totally overwhelmed!
I am sure that a day at the office is a very similar story with different issues but same outcome!
Now I feel really pleased that I am self-employed and don't have all these time schedules from other people . . . . but oh no . . . I do!
There are new sales page to to create, new products, download pages, all with deadlines. So it appears that for most of us that time schedules and dead lines are a part of our lives, and something that isn't really going to dissolve and go away - so we really need to learn how to deal with them, without feeling stressed!
So take a few deep breaths, exhale all the stress, worries and to do lists and soak up the peace in the picture below!
To continue with a stressed mind is a disaster waiting to happen, everything is being done in the wrong energy and mistakes will happen.
So when you feel overwhelmed - take time out!

You can also listen to relaxing music, go for a walk somewhere quiet, talk to your guidance, have a soak in the bath, wash the stress away in the shower, take some exercise, take rescue remedy and one of my favourites - smell rose oil!
(& another favourite eat dark chocolate! It's full of magnesium which are body needs to be calm, chilled and happy!)
All of the above will help you to change energy, mood and vibration and be calmer and more focused when we go back to the task to do.
Overwhelm builds if we don't allow ourselves to switch off and unwind, and the more this builds the harder it is to shift out of it. Excess stress is the cause of illness and disease so don't allow overwhelm and stress get out of control, notice how you feel every few hours. Set your alarm if necessary to remind yourself to notice if you are feeling good or too stressed to notice how stressed you are! If you feeling stressed then take 3 minutes out to de-stress. The benefits you will receive will be so worth it.
Even at work work you can listen to one of my audios on your computer or phone, or just take a few deep breaths and release all the stress as you breath out. Stand up and stretch your legs, walk around the office, to the bathroom etc and sit back down feeling refreshed and ready to go.
I was actually feeling overwhelmed with many things to do, some with deadlines before I wrote this blog article. I took some time out, listened to my Releasing being Disorganised & not feeling Focused audio, and felt much calmer and decided that my next step was to write this blog article to help others to release feeling overwhelm. I now feel much calmer and will move onto the next most important task that I am guided to do, with an inner trust that everything will get done in the right order and at the right time, with Divine Guidance! (& often what we are guided to do isn't what we would have chosen to do, so another good reason to chill and follow your guidance rather than blunder through on your own!)
